30 members turned up in various fancy dress costumes for which prizes are awarded, to run the course in fancy dress in teams of 2 each member running one lap of the course.
Roland Smythe and Mike Cahill deemed to be the best fancy dress as Strictly Come Dancing.
The course starts at the corner of Crackley Lane by the woods from where the runners run past the tennis club to the main road turning into Spring Lane. A right turn into Hollis Lane back to Crackley where they turn right under the railway bridge back to the start. Runners are given a handicap according to their speed.
Yvonne Shillington and Lucy Aphramor completed the course in the fastest handicap time so will hold the trophy for the coming year.
The annual draw is also made for club places in this years London Marathon Pauline Dable, Emily Beacham and Gary Bradbury won the much sort after places.
The morning was rounded off with mulled wine and mince pies, a bracing way to start the new year.

Stratford - Not the Roman 1X
17 members of Kenilworth Runners travelled to Stratford on Avon to take part in this annual 12 kilometre (7.42 mile) road race. In ideal conditions for running the circular course took in the village of Loxley.
Nicki Maritz lead the Kenilworth Ladies in with a storming run to complete the course in 59.22 minutes. Sean Mitchell lead the men with an equally excellent run to finish in 48.28 minutes.
