9 members of Kenilworth Runners took part in the Godiva 5 mile race on a nice quite Friday evening in the grounds of the Memorial Park. The course is reasonably flat comprising one short lap followed by two long ones along the paths on the periphery of the Park just leaving the grounds once to go up Ammorial Road and along the Coventry Road back into the park.

Wolverhampton Full and Half Marathon
Nick Bradbury and Stewart Hopkins represented Kenilworth Runners in one of the top combined half and full marathons in the country. On a hilly course that covered roads on the outskirts of Wolverhampton the hot conditions and the hills conspired to make this a tough test for our two members.
However both acquitted themselves very well. Stewart had a most successful run completing the race in under the magic three hour challenge with a time of 2 hours 57 minutes and 32 seconds to come in 6th out of 196 finishers which was a very impressive performance. Nick Bradbury took part in the half marathon and he had no less a race finishing in 93 minutes 5 seconds in 65th position out of 930 finishers.
