The bumper entry into this friendly event showed what a resounding success the previous two events had been with 658 entries received and 588 runners
who completed the course. They were again treated to an excellent days running over one of the most attractive courses in the country which
passes through beautiful Warwickshire countryside and as a bonus presents an excellent view of the Castle across the fields at the 10 mile point.
The first lady to finish was Tracy Darke of Hinckley RC with a superb run in 1 hour 27 minutes and 10 seconds. Garry Payne of George Elliott
Striders was the first man to finish and he ran an excellent 1 hour 12 minutes and 45 seconds.
Kenilworth Runners Karen Hallas had such a good run that she finished in 4th position overall.
This was a truly superb day in which all the runners completed a course that
is not easy with some tough little climbs particularly near the end at 11 miles and each achieved his personal goal.
