On Sunday 18 Club Runners turned out to run the Honiley Hoof Club Race which is the 5th race of the Winter League Series. This 3.5 mile road
race starts near the Honiley Court Hotel and heads towards Beausale then returning through Hasely Knob back to Honiley thus completing the circuit.
Richard Steele and Martin Dorrill were the first runners home after a splendid competitive race. However, performance of the day probably goes to John McNally, who continuing
his impressive running performance at the moment managed to beat Martin Dorrill - although in defence, Martin did compete in yesterdays Midlands Championships at Nottingham - see below.
So with just 3 races left, John extends his lead at the top to 286 points, whilst making it a family affair, Jane now holds top spot in the A's after playing her joker and winning the
handicap to take 268 points, some way ahead of Pam Wilkes on 223 points. In the B's, Roger Wilkes still leads and is only 5 points behind John - so everything is still to play for. Lying
in second place is Stef Shillington on 225 points. Down in the C's Richard Steel leads with 177 points with Roland Smythe in second on 133.

Roman 9 - Lou storms to a superb top 15 place!
14 Kenilworth Runners made the short journey over to Stratford on Sunday for the annual 9-mile road race.
On a glorious day for running it was Lou Frondella who was first home for the Runners in a time of 52:25. This was good enough for 13th place out of nearly 600 finishers and
a personal best as well. Following just behind was Martin Dorrill, who having run in yesterday's cross country, ran extremely well for a time of 52:57 - also a personal best - and 19th place.
Both of them had run the first 5 miles together, before Lou managed to pull away, the cross country taking its effect on Martin. Simon Vine also
ran well for 27th place in a time of 53:48. Two other runners completed the course in under an hour, John McNally 57:38 (60th) and Terry Dyer 59:13 (89th). Other runners just missing
out, but still very pleased with their performances were: Stef Shillington 68:41 Roger Wilkes 68:57 John Jones 69:57 John Woodrow 71:10 Steve Lee
74:00 Bob Griffiths 76:00 Pete Southall 77:44 Pam Wilkes 80:15 Jane McNally 82:18
