Huncote Hash, 7 country miles Print E-mail

The last race of 2011 attracted 300 runners to the small Leicestershire village of Huncote for the Huncote Hash. After two days of heavy showers the runners were treated to muddy and extremely slippery conditions  on the out and back course of ‘seven country miles’ to Croft gravel workings, including two very steep climbs to the summit of Croft Hill. After wading along the course reminiscent of a stream in the last mile, runners were greeted at the finish with a hot cup of soup.

Tom Dable completed the race in 69:11; Pauline Dable finished in 76:44
