The Bedford Half Marathon, held on Sunday 12 December, is one of the last half marathons of the year and a popular one too, with runners enjoying the undulating rural course and unique race memento, which this year was a rugby shirt presented to all finishers. Conditions were cold but fine for racing in a month that can throw up the foulest of conditions.

Mark Hall was the first Kenilworth Runner home, running a fine race to finish in 1:36:54 for 312th position. Rod Goodwin made up for the disappointment of the Luton Marathon being canceled and stormed around the Bedford course, knocking nearly six minutes from his previous PB to clock 1:38:52. Anton Raath finished just a few minutes later in 1:43:02.
