Men's Team Captain Phil Gould continued his good run of form on Saturday 11 December with victory in the Moreton Morell Christmas Cracker. Held around Moreton Morrell College, the off-road course of approximately 10km includes numerous horse jumps and fences to climb, and the course was made doubly difficult by the heavy ground following the thaw.

Phil was pushed all the way round the by two fellow runners and won by just three seconds in a time of 37:29. Fellow club member Kath Foley celebrated a notable birthday by running the course with friends in 59.09 dressed as an elf - like many runners who were in fancy dress.
