From Martin Broomfield..... The event was organised by the Rotary Club and the local Lifeboat Institute. There was a full marathon, Half Marathon and sponsored walks. the weather today, rained almost continuously and being my latest attempt to beat my PB failed as there was a gradual up hill for the 1st 5 miles which took me 48 mins, which i thought was good going and good prep for the Hilly 100 on 23rd May!!! then undulating terrain on farm track which was mostly good ! and finally finished in 2 hr 11 mins injury free apart from stiffness !! |
