Milton Keynes bid for FIFA World Cup 2018 Print E-mail

Milton Keynes staged a 4.6mile run from the MK Bowl to the MK Dons Football Stadium to publicise their bid to play a major part in the World cup 2018 should this be granted to England by FIFA. The race started by Pete Winkleman, chairman of MK Dons Football Club and the mayor of Milton Keynes attracted some 500 runners who were each rewarded for their efforts to a complimentary ticket to the afternoon's fixture against Bristol Rovers. MK Dons won 2-1. Tom Dable 34mins 45 secs Pauline Dable 39.01
