Ros and Peter Matthews with Richard Simkiss ventured down to Chippenham for the DB Max Chilly 10km at Castle Combe Race Circuit. 'Chilly' was appropriate because of its exposure to strong headwinds, but the flat course holds PB potential.

The weather was blustery but the race was dry save a light shower before the start of the race.

Richard Simkiss managed to mix it at the top of the field, in fourth position for most of the race, finishing fifth overall with a time of 34:57. Pete Matthews fought the winds on the far side of the track well to knock a couple more minutes off the PB he set at Stratford recently, his 10km time now stands at 42:24. Ros Matthews also managed to chop a couple of minutes off her PB, coming in with a time of 46:44
