Rod Goodwin took the trip south for this race, starting and finishing in the Ridlings Athletic Stadium on to a two lap course around Stevenage mainly on cycle ways and parks, the course is mainly flat but for the dips under roadways with short climbs out of these this also caused some delay through the narrow bridges.

The race started and continued to rain with strong winds through best part of the race but did finish in sunshine, Rod was pleased with his time 1:53:02 considering the conditions.
