The course of the race is mainly flat and follows public roads which are closed to traffic. Long stretches of the town’s beaches are also included. The marathon begins early in the morning and the half-marathon mid-morning, so all runners finish over the same time span.

No less than 2,664 runners were set on their way by the Mayor with all our runners recording good times under some what warm conditions.
