St Neots - Half Marathon Print E-mail

Matthew Kingston-Lee took part in the St Neots Riverside Half Marathon (Famously a race that does not take part near the side of the river)

Held on quiet undulating country roads, he finished 35th out of the 861 runners in a slightly disappointing time of 1:23:08. The slower than hoped time was mitigated somewhat by the strong icy cold headwind that dominated over half the race (Although thankfully it stayed dry) and that he felt the affects of two big events in previous weeks.

The race is probably the best organised club hosted race he has ever done, with 80 members of the Serpentine Running Club choosing to travel up from London to take part as their club championship half marathon race on the strength of the organisation.
