| Bournemouth - Half Marathon |

Kenilworth Runners member, Rob Thompson, travelled to the South Coast resort of Bournemouth in Hampshire to take part the annual half marathon where he joined a large field of 1,400 runners. The course is one that is known as “fast” where personal bests can be achieved. Starting in Bournemouth the first three miles of the course are the most difficult when the famous “Chimes” are passed but from there on the route took the athletes out into the pleasant countryside with the terrain being mainly flat. Rob had a superb run to finish in 83 minutes and 33 seconds and in the elevated position of 33rd overall finisher. |
