Connor Carson and Andreas Ruhnke headed to Quedgeley on the outskirts of Gloucester to take part in the Gloucester Marathon. The marathon, which runs alongside a 50km race, takes place on an rural undulating three lap course and saw over 350 finishers.

Continuing his great run of recent form, Connor ran a storming race to finish fifth and claim first place in the V40 category. His time of 2:48:49 bettered his PB set in October 2011 by nearly three minutes.

Andreas had a fine run to finish in 4:36:48 - six minutes outside his best time of 2011 set at Berlin in September.
