Despite a strong and bitter cold wind Richard Green put ina fine performance to come third and second male on what can only be descibed as a exceptionally testing course from Ilmington Village Cricket ground. This month's race took runners on a reverse course starting with an undulating  loop around the village for the first 3k followed by a steep climb for 3k to the summit of Ilmington Down. From here the course descended back to the village. The severity of the downhill section made it difficult running but this did not deter the winner who unusually was a lady, Claire Jacobs in a time of 40mins 10 secs.
