Five ladies travelled to Baggeridge Park, Dudley for the third round of the Midland Women’s Cross Country League. The conditions were frosty but dry and the 6.5km course had been described as challenging, containing steep climbs and ascents. The race began with a steep climb and then continued on one loop of the Park, through undulating woodland and across some high exposed trails.

Nardia Poole led the ladies team home, finishing in 69th position. Sara Stein, Sally Hicks and Ros Matthews ran well as a pack for most of the race and finished in 100th, 105th and 108th positions respectively, with Pauline Dable completing the Masters score, finishing in 205th position.
