After a fast first mile the course was subject to noticeable descents and climbs, most notably the big climb in the final mile as runners dug deep towards the end of the race. Top honours for the evening go to Arthur Smith for his tremendous effort to be one of the very few people to finish ahead of their predicted time. Arthur improved on his predicted time by over 2%. Stephen Chalkey took second spot for the evening with a 1% improvement over his predicted time, with Colin Underhill taking third spot and 48 points putting in a strong performance with a 0.78% improvement. Overall Series Leader: A Group Standings: B Group Standings: C Group Standings: The next league race is the Inter-Club Race on Wednesday 3rd August - Many of you will be aware that this is an annual event whereby the club competes against Spa Striders and Stratford Athletic Club in a 3 way battle... the event is scored in such a way that getting EVERY CLUB MEMBER POSSIBLE to race has a massive impact on the final team standings, so I would urge everyone who is able to make themselves available for this race. This year the event is being organised by Stratford AC, details have been sent out by email already though they will also appear in the "Next Race" page shortly. Should you notice any errors in the results, either your own result, or that of someone else, please click here to contact me so that the error can be corrected. It is much easier to rectify any problems sooner rather than later on in the league. |
