Over 170 guests attended Kenilworth Runners Twenty Fifth Anniversary Party, held at The Warwickshire Golf Club in Leek Wootton. Club members past and present enjoyed a fantastic four course meal before listening to a captivating talk from local athletics legend David Moorcroft.

Before guests danced the night away, David Moorcroft awarded life memberships to two of the twelve founding members of the club Mike Cahill and Stef Shillington. He also presented two awards created in memory of a fellow founding member of the club Mick Morris, who sadly passed away earlier this year. Michael Johnson won the Mick Morris Memorial Shield for the best age graded performance of the year and Clive Pearce won the Mick Morris Memorial Trophy for winning the 2011 Club League series of races.

The party marked the culmination of a year of celebratory events for the popular running club, which has grown from its humble beginnings to become one of the most successful clubs in the local area.
