Saturday 14 May 2011 will see the first running of the Kenilworth Festival 10k. The demanding off-road race held at Abbey Fields, hosted by Kenilworth Runners for many years as the Kenilworth Hilly Challenge, will, as in 2010, coincide with the Kenilworth Festival - a week long series of events in and around the Kenilworth area from 7-14 May.

The Festival 10k will start at 10am and for the first time there will be a team relay for those not wanting to take on the demands of the full 10km race. Following the Festival 10k, at 12pm there will be a Schools Challenge for year 5 and 6 students and at 12:30pm a family fun run. The latter two events are approximately one mile long.

Affiliated members can enter the Festival 10k for £7 (£9 for non-affiliated entrants) and entries to the Schools Challenge and family fun run are just £2. Relay team entries (A team has three members) are £12. Finishers of the Festival 10k and the Schools Challenge will receive a medal.
