The Olympic Torch travels through Kenilworth on Sunday 1st July at about 5pm.. We have been asked to support this event by delivering the ‘run’ leg of a ‘Try-a-Tri’ triathlon to be held in  Abbey Fields. There will be two courses, one of 500m and one of 2000m for participants to attempt. We will need to set up appropriate courses, provide marshalling support, come up with a system to time the runs and give runners a drink of water at the end. There will be no entry fee and the event will be open to anyone aged 8 & over (tbc). Mementos will be provided by Warwick DC. We will have the opportunity to pitch our Club tent and engage with the local public in supporting a great community and sporting event.

Our Chairman Pete Bryan will be co-ordinating our efforts.
