2012 Club League

Following on from the success of last year's Club League, the 2012 Club League will retain the same format: combining what was formerly a summer league and a winter league into a single annual club league running throughout the year.

The league consists of twelve races which are held on a variety of courses in the areas surrounding Kenilworth. The new format includes some races organised by other clubs and organisations: e.g. The 2 Castles 10k and the Inter Club race with Spa Striders and Stratford A.C..

The race results are scored in a manner which compares each runners finish time with their predicted finsh time, and rewards relative improvement in running ability. Scores are tallied up to produce a league table, with the winners each year receiving a prize.

During the Summer months where daylight allows, the League Races are held on Thursday evening in place of the usual club meet at the Wardens Cricket Club. Races normally start at 7:30pm and typically Start/Finish in the vicinity of a local public house so that racers can enjoy post run drinks. Where possible the club provides sandwiches and chips to nibble on as well. League races during the winter months are held on Sunday Mornings with a 9:30am Start.
